Carlos Machado Museum – Sacred Art & Taxidermy

Housed in a former convent, this museum offers eclectic exhibitions featuring historical artifacts, art, and taxidermy. Established in 1876 and open to the public since 1880, it now serves as a public institution dedicated to preserving, conserving, and showcasing its vast and rich heritage — a foundation and expression of the identity of an island and ocean-faring people.
