Important to know:
The islet is classified as a Protected Area and is the result of an ancient submerged volcano, where its flooded crater formed a semicircle.
Due to concerns about preserving this site, there are certain access restrictions and limitations depending on the time of year.
From mid-June to the end of October, it is possible to walk, swim, and snorkel within the islet. From November to April, it is possible to walk within the islet, but swimming is not allowed (25% discount on this tour). From April to mid-June, access to the islet is not allowed (35% discount on this tour).

Who can participate?
- Recommended for adults and children aged 6 and above. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Family kayaks are available for up to 2 adults and 1 child, stable and comfortable for beginners.
- A normal level of physical fitness is recommended. The total distance covered will be around 5 kilometers.
- It is advisable to know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Restrictions: Maximum participant weight is 100 kg.
Who cannot participate?
- This activity is not recommended for people with back problems. Please inform us about any previous injuries, medical conditions, or health issues at the time of booking.
- This activity is not recommended for pregnant women.
What to bring?
- Identification document, such as an ID or passport.
- Wear comfortable clothes and swimwear.
- Towel and dry clothes to change into after the activity.
- Individual water bottle.
- Hat or similar.
- Sunscreen.

This activity begins at the Vila Franca do Campo Marina.
The team will distribute the equipment and conduct a safety briefing. Guided by the expert, the group will depart from the marina heading towards the islet, marking the start of the adventure.
On this tour, you’ll explore the iconic Vila Franca do Campo Islet, circumnavigating it and discovering its hidden caves. The islet is also known as the “Princess Ring,” and with the help of local guides, you will learn about the legends, stories, curiosities, and events that make this place so special and unforgettable.
Upon reaching the interior of the islet, you will get a closer look at the fauna and flora of this protected area. Take the opportunity to dive in and refresh yourself in the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean while admiring and learning about marine biodiversity.
After a relaxing break and some free time to explore the islet, we’ll return to the starting point where the activity will conclude.
