An incredibly beautiful trail!
This full-day hike offers a unique way to explore the Sete Cidades volcanic complex, while also taking in its most iconic sights. The trail takes you through stunning landscapes of lakes, aqueducts, and natural springs, surrounded by endemic vegetation, all the way up to the highest point of Sete Cidades.
You’ll visit the most scenic viewpoint in the Azores — the famous Grota do Inferno — as well as Lagoa do Caldeirão, Lagoa das Éguas, and Lagoa do Canário. The return route follows the Serra Devassa. Along the way, you’ll also learn more about the island’s geomorphology.
It’s the perfect way to discover Sete Cidades through a complete and unforgettable trail.
