This route offers panoramic views of the valley and the ocean, as well as a visit to the Salto do Prego waterfall and a thermal bath in Furnas.

In the morning, you’ll follow a trail that takes you through orchards and wooden bridges, all the way to the Salto do Prego waterfall, where you can enjoy the stunning scenery. The waterfall has a natural pool, perfect for a refreshing dip or simply relaxing and taking in the surroundings.

You’ll also visit the historic village of Sanguinho, a charming old settlement in the municipality of Povoação. After the hike, there will be a break for a picnic lunch and some time to recharge.

In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Furnas area. Here, we’ll explore the fumarole fields, where you’ll see volcanic features like fumaroles and hot and cold springs.

To end the day, you can unwind at one of the island’s famous thermal water locations (Dona Beija or Terra Nostra).
