The tour begins with a short van ride up to the Furnas volcano crater, descending into the mystical Furnas valley and lake, with stops for sightseeing and photos.

Next, it’s time for lunch at a local village restaurant, where you can choose the island’s most traditional dish: the authentic “cozido”, slow-cooked in geothermal steam vents.

You’ll then have about an hour of free time to explore the charming village streets, with their winding rivers, old watermills, chapels, and fountains.

Afterwards, you’ll visit Terra Nostra Garden for a guided botanical walk through a diverse collection of culturally and historically significant plants and flowers from around the world.

The visit ends with an optional, relaxing soak in the mineral-rich thermal pool, surrounded by stunning natural scenery.

• Not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair, with delicate health conditions, or under the age of 4.
• Bathing in the hot springs is unsuitable for anyone who is pregnant, has recently undergone surgery or trauma, has unhealed wounds, or suffers from any chronic condition.
